Living an ocean apart means we usually see each other only once a year. And when we do, there are little rituals we always seem to return to long conversations, catching up on everything we've missed, and inevitably showing each other the things we've discovered and loved.
Jewellery was always part of that.
A new pair of earrings. A stone one of us had fallen in love with. And somewhere in those conversations, we began to notice something. However many pieces came and went, each of us had certain colours and stones we instinctively returned to.
The ones that somehow felt most like us. Not simply colours we loved, but colours that carried a feeling - something familiar, something personal, something we kept coming back to.
And eventually, that led us to a question: What if the piece you loved didn’t have to stay the same?
Keep the stone that feels like you, but change everything around it. Wear it simply. Add diamonds. Match both ears or don’t. Stack it. Make it yours.
That idea became ORIN.

Our Journey
From first sketches to interchangeable fine jewellery.
Once we knew what we wanted ORIN to become, the challenge was bringing it to life.
We began on paper, exploring jewellery design, proportions, settings and different ways diamonds could sit around the marquise form. Those early sketches became prototypes, and prototypes became rounds of refinement - adjusting the smallest details until our marquise gemstone Core and interchangeable Expressions worked together as we had imagined.
Finding the right craftsmanship mattered just as much as the design. We explored fine jewellery manufacturing across the UK, India, China and Thailand, searching for the specialist skill, precision and quality needed to create our interchangeable earrings.
That journey eventually led us to Thailand, where our 14k gold jewellery is crafted by specialist makers. We carefully source the gemstones, diamonds and components that complete each design, bringing together materials and craftsmanship from trusted partners to create each ORIN piece.
There have been samples we changed, settings we reconsidered and ideas we left behind. The process taught us that even a fraction of a millimetre can change how a piece of jewellery looks, feels and moves when worn.
What began as drawings on paper is now a collection of 14k gold gemstone earrings, diamond Expressions and interchangeable fine jewellery - a modular approach that allows one Core to create multiple looks and evolve with your personal style.
And we’re still designing. Still refining. Still imagining what comes next.
